MULTIDISCIPLINARY IN HEALTHCARE TEAM
DID YOU KNOW???
# Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team is a team of practitioner from different professions who share common patient care goals.
#. In general, it provides better care than an individual plan that we have in the past- just involve doctor and patient.
# Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team gives a comprehensive assessment through their individual expertise and in consultation with one another.
CONCEPT...
Team members communicate with each other about patients care and help them get care from the same organisation, a range of organisations or from private practice. Each-discipline specific team member enriches the knowledge-base of the team as a whole, and over time, the multidisciplinary team composition can change to reflect changes in person’s needs,
(Mitchell et al 2008)
WE AS PHYSIOTHERAPIST...

- When we get involved in a multidisciplinary healthcare team, we have to work together with others to develop a plan of action or treatment plan and then combine our efforts towards initiating treatment.
- We also have to appreciate other’s perspective in healthcare team as they recognized our expertise and knowledge in mobility and movement of patient.
